Tanks so much for your kind words, Girl, Independent. I’m a big fan of close up wide images, but some of my local dive sites are macro heaven and the seahorses have put on a great show over the last month or so 🙂 I hope you get to see one on a future dive – they are without doubt the sweetest, most gentle souls underwater 🙂 Love and bubbles, PT xxx
Tanks so much, Rob 🙂 I totally agree about seahorses and lights – they almost always turn away, so I tend to use natural light only and a strobe, though on rare occasions I use a red LED light and cancel it with the strobe and they tend not to mind that at all 🙂 I think patience is a real key – they turn away initially but often they will turn back and look towards the camera. Also zooming from a slight distance tends to give them the breathing space they seem to prefer 🙂 Best fishes, PT 😀
Tanks so much, Steve – will soon add a few more to this gallery from today’s dive – had one of those lovely horses that liked looking straight into the camera 😀
Gorgeous images! I’m not usually a macro fan but these are lovely. I’ve never seen a seahorse diving – I should probably look for them more often!

Lovely shots!, I find seahorses very difficult to photograph myself. They seem very shy & timid and really don’t seem to like bright lights
